I hadn't taken a lot of note of Katniss's passivity before - or I suppose I read it as an acceptance of her fate. I mean, she's fairly certain from the time she volunteers that she's going to die and, when the rules change, she really has no idea that she could be so significant, let alone use it to her advantage until the end. <br /><br />Loving the blog, by the way!
